Operation Reality (DNOW Weekend)

April 14th-16th : 6th-12th Grade Students

Theme: Jesus is Better: Seeing Jesus on Every Page

What is Operation Reality ("DNOW" Weekend)?

Operation Reality is CWC's "DNOW" weekend. "DNOW" stands for Discipleship Now weekend, or more simply a weekend retreat for our youth group. "DNOW" weekends are an amazing time where large portions of CWC members have a chance to play an important role in the lives of our students.

Operation Reality will put a high premium on discipleship. There are Large Group sessions that take place in the The Well Auditorium Friday Night, Saturday Morning, and Saturday Night. During these sessions, students will engage in worship from a band and hear amazing messages from a speaker. The speaker will highlight the weekend’s theme in each session! There are also super-intentional small group times where students will digest the message from that night. Operation Reality is a time of spiritual growth and application.

“Host Homes” are a key feature of Operation Reality. A host home is where a family in the church agrees to host a small group for the weekend. The host home and students will meet at the home for Bible study after each session. Students will spend Friday night and Saturday night at the host home. Host homes are broken up by grade and gender. Students will share breakfast and dinner with the host home on Saturday. Sunday morning breakfast will be provided at the church. It is an AMAZING way to get a great portion of CWC involved in student ministry.

Speaking from experience, these weekends will be remembered forever. It will have a lasting impact on our students. They will walk away from this weekend on fire for Jesus.

If you’re interested in serving this weekend either as a Host Home, a server for lunch on Sunday, behind the scenes set up or as a runner please contact Pastor Philip.
