CWC Update

Community Worship Center in Perryton, Texas is committed to building the Body of Christ. As an organization, and as part of our commitment to make disciples, we continue to monitor the climate of our church. This includes maintaining awareness of COVID-19 activity in our county, in Perryton, and in CWC. As we monitor COVID-19 activities and we live out our calling to make disciples, we find ourselves in a unique season. Since 1932, CWC has carried out the calling to make disciples. We have not waivered from that calling since our inception and we will continue in this work. Here is what this means for our ongoing ministry activities.

CWC continues our day-to-day functions. Our business operations are active. Our offices are open Monday thru Thursday from 9:00am – 5:00pm. Our staff are available to meet for conversations or to provide support during this unique season. You are encouraged to make an appointment, so they can be available to meet with you, since we have daily work for which we are responsible. Drop by visits are welcomed too.

We continue worshipping! CWC hosts our weekly Sunday morning gathering at 10:30am. You have four choices you can make to Gather and worship together. Worship at home with your family. Worship at home with friends. Worship with others in person at CWC. And finally, worship at CWC in an overflow room set up for smaller numbers of people. Guidelines are in place and we encourage everyone to follow them when you come to the building. These guidelines are posted in the main lobby and by each restroom in the building.

Community Groups and ministries are active. Adult and Children Community Groups meet at 9:00am. Adult and Student (Jr. and Sr. High) Community Groups meet on Sunday nights. Other Adult Community Groups meet throughout the week. For more information about Community Groups, go to www.cwcperryton.org/community.

Wednesday night activities are taking place. We share a fellowship meal for all ages at 6:00pm. Following dinner, CWC Kids, Mpact Students and Adult Community Groups meet for worship and discipleship. It is a wonderful time to be at the church.

We continue hosting special events at CWC. The title “Special Events” includes concerts, conferences, weddings, and funerals, as well as birthday parties and showers. These events bring life, growth, and healing to our lives.

The activities and events mentioned above, are carried out using the same safety protocols we encourage our people to use on Sunday mornings. Decide what is best for you and your family and utilize it as you come to the church campus.

The elders and staff of CWC will continue working with current information to operate effectively. We are grateful to live in community and we will worship together in spirit and encourage each other in truth. We are part of The Church commissioned to join God in His redemptive work. Keep being the Church!

Acts 9:31 English Standard Version (ESV)

31 So the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was being built up. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it multiplied.

Continue praying for each other. Continue praying for our leadership. Continue praying for God to do amazing things to draw more people to Himself during this time. Pray the Church will be an empowering place building people up to obey and participate with God. Continue being ministers of hope and reconciliation. Encourage each other as you can. Praise God!

Blessings,

Pastor Kevin
